Liturgical Texts

These websites provide liturgical texts with the “changeable” or “proper” parts of liturgical celebrations, namely those parts that are different each day, depending on the feast or saints being celebrated. Much of the theology and spirituality of our Byzantine tradition is found in these changeable parts, helping us to enter into the different feasts and understand the saints.

Eastern Church Music is a resource to learn the musical melodies (“tones”) of our liturgical tradition by singing along in English with professionally made recordings. The site has resources for learning both the Resurrectional Tones (used mostly at Divine Liturgy) and the Samohlasni Tones (used mostly at the Liturgy of the Hours, like Vespers and Matins).
